We found the quintessential early 1900s refrigerator picnic basket, tin lined with heavy woven wicker  Sturdy oak swing wooden handles for toting, and a hinged lid with a canvas strap for securing. Owner lined the interior with fabric long ago. It's a real vintage beauty.  Desirable signs of age and use. Great for organizing and storage too! It still has the original label on top Hawkeye Burlington IA. Patent 1900. We think it's in amazing condition!
