Large Antique Bread Board European | Iron Handle Wood Cutting Board
A true rustic charmer—this oversized antique bread board adds warmth, history, and utility to your kitchen or entertaining setup.
About This Piece
This large antique bread board dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s and was originally used in a European farmhouse kitchen for slicing and prepping bread. We hand select each one of our boards for its characteristics and patina. Crafted from a single slab of hardwood, it features an aged iron handle at one end and a naturally worn finish that can’t be replicated.
The well-loved surface shows years of kitchen use with knife marks, natural patina, and variations in wood grain. Whether used as a dramatic charcuterie board, rustic countertop staple, or mounted on the wall for decor, this piece brings rich texture and soul to any space.
Functional Heritage
Measuring nearly 35" in length, this board offers ample room for serving breads, cheeses, or crudités. The sturdy iron handle provides a secure grip or hanging option, making it as practical as it is beautiful. It’s the kind of piece that starts conversations while adding storied charm to modern or traditional kitchens alike.
Worn, Weathered & One-of-a-Kind
Expect imperfections that tell its tale—light warping, wear, patina, and age-related character that makes this board a true original. Its primitive elegance pairs perfectly with farmhouse, Wabi-Sabi, and vintage European aesthetics.
