Imagine this, France in 1847 a factory known as Poterie Renault opens it's doors to produce iconic pottery for cafes, restaurants, and hotels. The family run, fifth generation business has since closed down. Recently, I'm in France at a flea market in the Loire Valley hand selecting every one of the "early" hand-made and timeless pieces that I can find. Its much easier to find the post 1950 wares, but I'm in search of the oldies.
