Vintage English Butcher Block | Smithfield Cutting Board | C.1900
We found this chopping block in an estate loaded with English antiquities. Made in London with the original label on the front, G. Rushbrooke Smithfield.
G Rushbrooke Smithfield (Ltd) was an outfitter to butchers, butcher shops and grocer's from the late 19th and into the early 20th century. This makes a great addition to any kitchen adding instant history. we love that years of use gives the block its own unique patina with exposed worn bolts. We think it would be great used as intended for chopping or as a riser for cooking essentials by the range.
Condition: Very Good; age-use wear, as found condition, patina.
