This pottery chicken roaster features a vertical design that allows poultry to roast evenly while creating a striking sculptural presence when displayed in the kitchen.
It solves the need for a functional baker that doubles as a decorative object, bringing both utility and handmade character to the kitchen.
Made in the USA during the midcentury period and signed by the maker, this vertical poultry baker was designed to hold a chicken upright while roasting. With a pour spout to catch drippings, the pottery body shows beautiful glaze variation, earthy neutral tones, and natural imperfections from the handmade process. When not in use, it works equally well displayed on open shelving or a kitchen counter as part of a collected pottery grouping. Found in a midcentury collector’s estate and hand selected for its form and character.
This piece pairs beautifully with items from our Vintage Kitchen Decor and Stoneware and Pottery collections for a warm, collected kitchen.
