vintage-london-hilton-hotel-silver-tea-set-english-silverplate
Vintage London Hilton Hotel Silver Tea Set English Silverplate

English Hotel Silver Tea Service from the London Hilton

This vintage London Hilton hotel silver tea set is exactly the kind of old hospitality piece we love finding. Made in England for commercial hotel service, the two-piece set includes an individual lidded teapot with matching open sugar bowl, each bearing the same engraved hotel emblem. The teapot is marked BSL Silver Plate England, while the smaller piece is marked EPNS England. Years of service have left the silverplate with a wonderfully softened, aged surface that we have intentionally left unpolished.

Product Details:

Materials: English silverplate and EPNS

Maker: Teapot by BSL, British Silverware Ltd.; sugar bowl maker unidentified

Hotel: London Hilton

Origin: England, sourced in London

Era: Mid-20th century

Set Includes: Individual lidded teapot, open sugar bowl

Teapot Dimensions: Approx. 5" L x 3" W x 4.5" H

Sugar/Creamer Dimensions: Approx. 4" L x 3" W x 2.25" H each

Markings: Teapot stamped BSL Silver Plate England and London Hilton 66; smaller piece stamped EPNS England, 4 oz, with additional manufacturer's marks

Condition: Good vintage hotel-used condition with scratches, scuffs, patina, tarnish and surface wear consistent with age and commercial use.
