This vintage refrigerator glass container was made in Chicago during the 1930s or 1940s by Scurlock and features heavy clear glass construction with an elegant monogrammed S. Before plastic storage containers became the norm, sturdy glass refrigerator dishes like this were everyday kitchen essentials used for leftovers, butter, produce, and pantry staples.

We especially love these old glass containers because they bring instant character to a kitchen while still being practical. The thick glass feels substantial in hand, and the monogram detail adds a touch of personality that makes this piece feel even more special. Whether used inside the refrigerator, on a pantry shelf, or displayed on open shelving, it adds a wonderful layer of history to the home.

Its clean rectangular shape makes it easy to style and stack, while the clear glass allows the contents to remain visible. It is a simple, hardworking piece with all the charm of early 20th century kitchenware.
