We found this in Provence, an authentic vintage sieve, used for flour or grain sifting. Not surprising that you find these throughout the French countryside with all the boulangeries and bread making.
And, this vintage sieve with all the signs of age and wear is a beautiful light driftwood color of bentwood.
Also, we love to use these bentwood sieves in a grouping on the wall, or as a gallery tray for corralling or organizing. These sieves also look stunning wnen you place a mirror as backing for a dimensional look. Finally, this particular old sieve has a black "10" stenciled on the side as well as some remaining flour residue from years of use ( as found condition).
Era: vintage
Condition: Very Good; age-use wear, patina. age appropriate rim wear.
From forgotten to fabulous - our up-cycled decor celebrates reuse, character, and conscious living.
