This antique Turkish copper watering can likely originated in Turkey or the Middle East during the 19th century. Handmade from hammered copper with mixed metal construction, it reflects the generations of skilled craftsmanship for which the region is known. The graceful curved handle, long tapered spout, and hand-worked surface create a sculptural silhouette that is as beautiful today as it was more than a century ago.
We were immediately drawn to its wonderfully timeworn appearance. The hand-hammered copper has acquired a rich, mellow patina with dings, tarnish, and honest wear that tell the story of a hardworking life. Rather than diminishing its appeal, these age marks give the watering can warmth, authenticity, and the kind of character collectors search for.
While originally intended as a functional watering can, we love it today as a decorative vase for oversized branches, dried botanicals, or simply displayed on its own. Whether styled indoors or in a protected garden space, it brings timeless Old World charm and texture to any setting. The watering function has not been tested and it is being sold primarily as a decorative antique.
