This antique French copper escargot pan is a wonderfully substantial piece of old European kitchenware, made from heavy copper with a tinned interior and cast brass handles. Seven raised wells give the pan its distinctive sculptural form, traditionally associated with preparing escargot or poaching eggs. We especially love the untouched surface, with years of darkening, oxidation and wear giving both the copper and brass a beautiful old kitchen patina. Sourced in France, it is just as striking hanging on a kitchen wall as it is displayed on an open shelf.
