This antique French copper fish poacher is one of those old utilitarian pieces we love just as much for what it has become as for what it once was. Known in France as a poissonnière, the long oval vessel was traditionally used for preparing whole fish. Hand formed from wonderfully heavy copper with substantial brass side handles, ours has developed layers of mottled patina, oxidation and wear from generations of use. At nearly two feet long, it now makes an incredible trough planter, centerpiece or collected kitchen display. Ships free.
