This antique French plateau mirror features a reticulated brass gallery and mirrored surface that bring elegance and structure to any tabletop.
It solves the need for a decorative riser that elevates objects beautifully while adding authentic antique character. A stunning "Surtout de table" (table platter).
Made in France in the late 1800s, this Neoclassical plateau was originally used on vanities and dressing tables to display perfumes, brushes, and personal objects. The reticulated brass frame shows rich patina from age, while the mirrored surface reflects light and highlights whatever is placed upon it. There is a chip on the underside of the mirror that appears as a lighter spot on the surface, consistent with age. Found in France, this rare piece works beautifully as a vanity tray, candle riser, or display base.
This plateau pairs beautifully with pieces from our Tabletop Decor and French Vintage Decor collections for a refined, layered display.
