This Arthur Armour World Map wastebasket is one of the more unusual pieces of American hand-wrought aluminum we've found. Dating to the Art Deco era, the oval wastebasket is covered with Armour's wonderfully detailed Mariners World Map design, complete with outlined continents, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, a compass rose, sailing ships, sea life and small animals placed throughout the map. The softly aged aluminum and evidence of decades of use give it exactly the character we look for in a vintage piece.
