This vintage brass pepper mill was made in Greece and is stamped in two places, including the side of the mill and the bottom. We especially love finding pieces that still carry their original markings. Here they add another little piece of history while confirming its Greek origin.
The details are what make this one so good. Decorative engraved bands wrap around the tall cylindrical body, while the domed top and long crank handle give it that unmistakable traditional pepper mill shape. The brass has developed natural patina, dark spots, and tonal variation over the years, and we've left that character intact rather than polishing away its age.
At 11.5 inches tall, it has enough presence to become part of the kitchen rather than simply another utensil.
