Dating to approximately the 1940s, this French Provincial style piece combines twisted rope-design brass arms, faceted clear crystal knobs, and an ornate floral and foliate backplate. We love the mix of something beautifully decorative that is also completely useful, whether holding towels, hats, jewelry, or other everyday pieces.
The twisted brass is our favorite detail. Paired with the old floral backplate and clear faceted knobs, it gives the piece that wonderfully collected French-inspired character without feeling overly ornate. We would use it in a bathroom for hand towels, near an entry for hats, or in a bedroom for jewelry and other little things you reach for every day.
