Vintage Crosby Silverplate Bread Tray Engraved Oval Serving Dish

Midcentury Crosby Silverplate Serving Tray with Ornate Engraving

This vintage Crosby silverplate bread tray has the kind of detail that makes old silver so easy to mix into a collected home. The elongated oval form is finished with a raised twisted border and an elaborate engraved center of scrolling foliage and latticework surrounding an open cartouche. Made in the United States, the shallow serving dish has developed a softly aged silver finish with the scratches and surface wear we prefer to leave visible rather than polishing away its history.
