Vintage English Pewter Vase | Embossed Pedestal Bud Vessel is a petite piece with an incredible amount of character packed into its 4.75-inch height. Hand selected in England, the slender vase has a flared trumpet opening, raised pedestal base, and richly embossed decoration wrapping the body and foot. We especially love its nearly black aged finish, with warmer metal tones peeking through the high points of the pattern and years of natural wear.
Our favorite detail is the surface. The intricate raised pattern has softened with use while the dark patina has settled into the recesses, creating wonderful depth and allowing little flashes of the warmer metal beneath to show through. We would leave it exactly as found rather than polish away that character.
At just 4.75 inches tall, it is an easy little piece to tuck almost anywhere. Add a few delicate stems, place it among old books and pottery, or group it with other aged metal vessels. It is the kind of small object that helps a room feel collected rather than decorated.
