This vintage Indian copper bucket has the kind of beautifully aged surface and unusual detail we look for in old copper. The cylindrical vessel is assembled from copper with a hand-hammered lower section, raised reinforcing bands and wonderfully sculptural brass elephant-head handles on either side. Years of age have created a rich reddish-brown surface with darkened areas, exposed copper and touches of verdigris throughout. At 10 inches tall, it has wonderful presence and we love it filled with branches, used as a fireside vessel or simply displayed with a collection of old copper.
