Indian Hammered Copper Kadai Serving Bowls with Ornate Brass Handles

This pair of vintage Indian karahi bowls has such a beautiful mix of materials and aged surfaces. Each bowl combines a hand-hammered copper exterior with a stainless steel interior and substantial brass loop handles decorated with an incised floral design. Also known as kadai bowls, this traditional Indian form was made for serving and bringing food to the table. We love the rich, mottled patina of the copper and brass, which we have intentionally left unpolished to preserve their wonderfully collected character.

• Condition: Good vintage condition with scratches, oxidation, discoloration and surface wear consistent with age and previous use. The hammered copper exteriors and ornate brass handles retain a rich, naturally aged patina with areas of darkening, exposed copper and small traces of verdigris. Stainless steel interiors show light scratches and wear. The exterior patina has been intentionally left intact. Please review photos closely.
