Vintage Rattan Side Table | French/Italian MCM Style

Midcentury Rattan End Table | Petite European Bamboo Furniture

Vintage Rattan Side Table | French/Italian MCM Style brings the warmth and texture of natural materials into a wonderfully compact piece of furniture. Dating to approximately the 1950s-60s, the table combines a rattan and bamboo frame with an inset wood top, curved side supports, and hand-wrapped joints. We especially love the aged honey-colored finish and petite proportions. It is lightweight enough to move wherever needed and has just the right scale for tucking beside a chair, sofa, or bed. Shipping is included in the price.

For us, the beauty of this little table is in the details. The curved rattan supports give the otherwise simple frame a sculptural quality, while the wrapped corners and years of surface patina make it feel collected rather than new. We would leave the finish exactly as found. The variation, darkened areas, and wear are part of what gives the piece its character.

Its smaller scale also makes it especially useful. We would place it beside a favorite reading chair with a stack of books and a drink, use it as an occasional table next to a sofa, or let it serve as a petite nightstand. The open rattan frame keeps it visually light, making it an easy piece to work into both traditional and more modern interiors.
